Hence, experiments were planned for three drying methods (sun drying, 50% shade 100% drying) five packing materials (plastic silver, transparent polythene, woven plastic, jute, & black polythene bag) one year storage of dried senna pods. Results revealed more prone deterioration during irrespective material used storage. Drying condition retained quality pods (3.22% sennosides) (2.20% comparison with as main chemical components Pods' can be without any if packed poly bags (3.17%). Calculation economics cost was slightly higher (662.04$ 10 t) two drying. However, by under shade, it retain herb up longer time make this crop economically viable farmers plant-based industries.

Synthetic seed production and physio-biochemical studies in Cassia angustifolia Vahl. - a medicinal plant.

Synthetic seed technology is an alternative to traditional micropropagation for production and delivery of cloned plantlets. Synthetic seeds were produced by encapsulating nodal segments of C. angustifolia in calcium alginate gel. 3% (w/v) sodium alginate and 100 mM CaCl2 · 2H2O were found most suitable for encapsulation of nodal segments. Synthetic seeds cultured on half strength Murashige and...
